future leaders programme
Supporting future leaders to build the inner confidence, the self-knowledge and the capacity to evolve and lead — from the inside out — as they grow as leaders and team-players.
aligned with the organisation’s goals
The coaching programme is aligned with the organisation’s purpose, vision and strategic goals, and includes plenty of application and practice in business activities to encourage this to be an embodied and energising living reality day-to-day.

the intention
future leaders are
active ambassadors for the business purpose, objectives and values
working openly as a team and aligning with a vision of collective success
achieving the necessary shift in approach and mindset that enables them to succeed as leaders and positive influencers at the heart of their organisation
nurturing a leadership culture, keeping the bigger business context in mind, achieving for the greater good
initiating and welcoming mutually beneficial conversation and feedback, courageously learning from challenges and mistakes
becoming enlightened collaborators, being valuable resources for one another and supporting each other
Each of these is easier to sustain from a grounded, Self-led place than from a driven, anxious, or people-pleasing one — which is why self-leadership sits at the centre of this programme, not on the side of it.
the elements
individual & group coaching for a small committed group of emerging leaders
-
Each participant participates in the Leadership Circle Profile 360 feedback tool at the start of the programme.
We use the feedback data to refine and focus individual development plans.
-
Each participant benefits from a personal one-to-one coaching programme tailored to support their unique leadership development plan.
-
Everyone meets together regularly for collective coaching and learning throughout the programme.
These sessions include powerful teaching modules — with Internal Family Systems as a throughline — offering a range of models and frameworks to enhance personal and leadership effectiveness.
-
Participants pair up with their colleagues, rotating partners every few weeks, in order to experience supporting and being supported by different personality styles.
They meet between sessions with a focus of reflecting, developing and learning with each other.
-
(OPTIONAL)
Participants identify specific areas within the business where they can contribute value while practicing newly acquired leadership and collaboration skills.
-
In order to always keep the business context in mind I have regular update conversations with sponsors / senior managers for the duration of the programme.
These meetings are also a chance for me to share the material we are covering so that participants can be encouraged to apply new skills in their work and can be supported in their learning.
the content
Every element below builds on the same foundation: a future leader who knows their own inner system well enough to lead it consciously — and, from there, to lead others.
-
We all have many diverse parts within us that operate as an interconnected system — the driver, the perfectionist, the part that avoids conflict, the part that pushes through exhaustion. Some are pulling toward the change a leader wants to make; others are protecting against the risk of it.
Using IFS, we give participants space to get to know their different parts in a fresh, non-judgemental way — noticing which ones tend to take charge under pressure, and what they're protecting. From there, participants build the capacity to lead from Self: calm, curious, confident and clear, even when the stakes are high.
This isn't a stand-alone module — it's the operating system for everything that follows in the programme.
-
Using the energy generated in "the gap" between desired outcome and current reality to build positive forward momentum.
Identifying a high-leverage focus for each person's development to provide a "true north" for all programme activities.
Techniques for navigating the discomfort of growing and developing — including recognising which parts get activated by that discomfort, and choosing to move through it from Self rather than avoid it.
Techniques for navigating the discomfort of growing and developing.
-
Enabling a shift from "driven by my own success" — often a protective part's agenda — to purpose-led leadership from Self. Leading with a whole-organisation perspective.
Using integral coaching methods to explore what needs to change from multiple perspectives.
Transforming and expanding mindsets — including the limiting beliefs particular parts have been carrying, sometimes for years.
Using micro-practices to build new positive leadership habits.
-
Participants explore their personal, authentic leadership style — the one available when they're leading from Self rather than from a part trying to prove, please or perform.
They create an inspiring, energising vision for their leadership development and contribution.
We spend time clarifying specific milestones, and design a series of small experiments, micro-practices and tracking methods
-
Participants build their capacity to coach and develop others, and to openly collaborate with colleagues — leading with each other's parts in mind, not just their behaviour. They learn to hold themselves and others to account with compassion, assuming positive intent.
They practice listening deeply, hearing beyond the obvious, engaging with curiosity rather than judgement — recognising when someone else's protective part is speaking, and responding to the person underneath it.
They lean into greater courageous authenticity, respectfully and honestly voicing "difficult topics."
They grow capacity for brave conversation, asking for, receiving and giving feedback — from Self, not from the part that wants to avoid or over-explain.
They build strong collaborative relationships with fellow participants, being valuable resources for each other, sharing a sense of collective achievement. This prepares them for potential future senior teamwork.
-
Participants practice using "systemic constellations" to un-stick things that feel stuck and enable more clarity and movement.
They gain powerful insights by embodying multiple different perspectives and feeling into the "voices" of the system — a natural companion to IFS, extending the same parts-awareness from the internal system out to the team and organisational system.
They experiment with small moves towards something better that will unlock a healthy flow.
full testimonial
While the Chief Revenue Officer at fintech's Receipt Bank (now Dext) and Capitalise, we worked with Ruth to help us develop our global rising stars and young leaders.
Having Ruth as an executive coach for individuals as well as a group, gave us considerable business benefits but more importantly helped the development of our young leadership team.
Some of the benefits were:
Skill enhancement: Ruth's executive coaching helped our inexperienced young business leaders to develop essential skills such as communication, problem-solving, decision-making, and leadership, which were/are crucial for their career growth.
Confidence building: The coaching provided a supportive environment for our young leaders to gain confidence in their abilities. It helped them overcome self-doubt and empowered them to take on new challenges with a positive mindset.
Personalised guidance: Ruth's coaching offered a personalised approach tailored to their specific needs and the goals of each individual. This ensured they receive targeted guidance to address their unique challenges and accelerate their professional development.
Network opportunities: Through the group coaching, our young leaders built valuable connections with their peers and this network could and has provided mentorship, guidance, and potential career opportunities for the group.
I can't recommend Ruth enough. I believe the work that Ruth did was a transformative experience for the group, propelling our young leaders towards their goals and helped them unleash their true potential, giving us a massive competitive advantage.
